The embryo of Paraphernalia emerged 10 years ago, when guitarist Bernardo Bosisio and bassist/producer Alberto Continentino got together for a new music project. After various permutations, the group became the current octet, with some of the most seasoned musicians of the Rio music scene. Together with the creators are Donatinho (keyboards), Marlon Sette (Trombone), Felipe Pinaud (flute), Leandro Joaquim (trumpet), Renato Calmon (drums) and Pacato (percussion).

Paraphernalia is an instrumental band that explores sounds from the 60’s and 70’s and merges those references with contemporary music. The result is a powerful danceable sound, which covers a wide range of rhythms and possibilities. There is room for rock, pop, samba, jazz, Latin and African music.

The extensive resumé of group members includes heavy-hitters of Brazilian music like Ed Motta, Jorge Ben Jor, Erasmo Carlos, Hermeto Pascoal, Vanessa da Mata, Adriana Calcanhotto, Eumir Deodato and Leo Gandelman, as well as many others.
